JUNE 7, 2021
A Special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Lakewood, N.Y., was held Monday, June 7, 2021, 9:30 AM, with Mayor Randall G. Holcomb presiding. Trustees present were Ellen E. Barnes and R. Richard Fischer. Trustee Douglas L. Schutte participated through Zoom.us. Also present were Village Clerk Mary B. Currie and Village Treasurer Apryl L. Troutman. Absent were Trustee Edward J. “Ted” McCague, Village Attorney John I. LaMancuso, Police Chief Christopher A. DePonceau, Department of Public Works Supervisor Thomas R. Pilling, Fire Chief Kurt Hallberg and Building Inspector Jeffrey A. Swanson.
Mayor Randall Holcomb explained the reason for the special meeting is for him to obtain authorization to sign the Service Contract/Agreement with Solitude Lake Management for the application of ProcellaCOR EC aquatic herbicides into Chautauqua Lake.
Mayor Holcomb said authorizing the execution of the contract/agreement was tabled at the last regular meeting of the Board of Trustees since no Trustee had seen the permit or knew where it may be.
Trustee Doug Schutte asked if he found out why the permit was not at the last meeting.
Mayor Holcomb said he has since discovered all townships in New York State are the ones who receive the permits, the villages do not.
RESOLUTION #107-2021 – AUTHORIZE EXECUTION OF THE SERVICE CONTRACT/AGREEMENT FOR APPLICATION OF PROCELLACOR EC

Motion by Trustee Fischer, seconded by Trustee Barnes and unanimously carried to adjourn the special meeting of the Board of Trustees at 9:33 AM.
