The Village of Lakewood
The Village of Lakewood was incorporated in 1893 and is located at the southern end of Lake Chautauqua. It has the tranquil charm of a lake-side village, along with a public beach, parks, playgrounds, lighted tennis courts, baseball fields, boat launchs and the hustle and bustle of a busy shopping and business district.
Lakewood is the third-largest village in Chautauqua County. With the Villages of Mayville and Westfield to the west and the City of Jamestown to the east, Lakewood is in the ideal location.
State Route 394 runs along the south side of Lake Chautauqua and through the Village as Fairmount Avenue. Route 394 connects Lakewood to the Villages of Mayville and Westfield to the west. It also connects to I-86 which runs from the City of Erie, PA along the Southern Tier of New York State providing easy access both east and west.
